Starting September 1st, Open Book SEO will host a book drive for SAReads.

Starting September 1st, Open Book SEO will be hosting a book drive in San Antonio, TX on behalf of the local organization SAReadsCan you send books our way and help us to give the gift of education and opportunity to more San Antonio kids?

The SAReads® Book Bank is working to eradicate book deserts in San Antonio and supplement classroom libraries by giving free  books to students, teachers, schools and nonprofits. 

A wonderful local organization, SAReads® is on a mission to improve literacy rates in San Antonio. While they provide a list of solutions to helping teach our community's students and teachers, they know one of the simplest ways to help is to provide...books! 

Let's help them do so.

At Open Book SEO, we know that reading is a gift. Without our education, without the thought-provoking and inspiring books we've read, we know we wouldn't be where we are today. 

That's why we want to push ourselves to be able to hit one of the following obviously being the best. 🙂 We hope you can help!

Details: What You Need to Know

  • Start Date: September 1st, 2018
  • End Date: September 30th, 2018 
  • Drop Off Locations: The following organizations have been happy to store collection bins for the drive throughout the month of September: 
  • Geekdom (7th Floor)
  • Stay tuned on this list! 
  • Can make a drop off location? No problem, just contact us (Open Book SEO) at openbookseo [at] and the founder Cory Ames will be happy to make some select pick ups. 

Requests of Donations:

SA Reads will accept the following - please try to make sure all donations meet these conditions

  • New or gently used books
  • Books for children in pre-school through high school. Download a guide to appropriate books for each age range. (Preferred: 3rd to 8th grade!)
  • Bilingual (Spanish) books


  • Books in poor condition.  This includes books with torn bindings, missing or torn pages, water damage, missing covers, etc.
  • Textbooks
  • Workbooks, activity books and coloring books
  • Encyclopedias & dictionaries
  • Magazines
